A woman finds herself trapped in an arranged marriage to a wealthy widower doctor, though her heart belongs to a struggling music composer she met before the wedding. The widower, learning of her past love, makes an unusual bargain with her: she must pose as his devoted wife for seven days while his dying mother recovers, after which she will be free to leave. As the days unfold, her feelings become complicated as she grows closer to her new family.
