Set on Kerala's Vypin islands, this Malayalam romantic drama follows Rasool, a Muslim taxi driver, as he falls for Anna, a Latin Catholic shop assistant, despite the religious and social barriers separating their conservative working-class families. Their tentative courtship, marked by shyness, secret messages, and disapproval from those around them, unfolds through the recollections of Ashley, an Anglo-Indian merchant navy worker connected to Rasool's circle of friends. The film traces the couple's struggle to be together against the pressures of community and tradition.
