A garage mechanic from a modest background falls in love with a wealthy woman, but her guardian forbids their relationship and humiliates the mechanic's mother. Determined to seek revenge, the mechanic devises a scheme with his uncle to swindle the guardian out of his money, though the plan ultimately backfires when the guardian and his son retaliate with their own plot.
