Anari

Anari is a 1993 Hindi romantic drama about Nandini, a young woman from a wealthy landowning family who is closely guarded by her three protective brothers after a prediction that she would pick her own husband. When Rama, a poor singer's son, is hired as her attendant, an unlikely bond forms between them that grows into affection despite her brothers' hostility. As their relationship deepens, it puts them at odds with her family, setting off a series of misunderstandings and conflicts. The film is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Chinna Thambi, itself earlier remade in Telugu as Chanti.
