Set in the town of Arrah in Bihar, this 2017 drama follows Anaarkali, a singer known for performing bawdy folk numbers at local events. When the vice chancellor of a nearby university attempts to force himself on her during a performance, she stands her ground against him despite his social standing and influence, setting off a tense standoff between the two.
