Set against Kerala's communal and political unrest, the story follows a revered spiritual leader whose past resurfaces when a district collector assigned to protect him turns out to be his former lover. Flashbacks reveal his earlier life as a rebellious young man drawn into communist activism, betrayed by manipulation and jealousy, who later becomes a corrupt temple official entangled in theft, caste conflict, and personal vendettas before his eventual transformation.
