Aadai is a 2019 Tamil thriller about Kamini, a bold and outspoken TV anchor known for staging outrageous viral pranks with her news team. After a birthday celebration in her office building turns chaotic when drinks are spiked with magic mushrooms, she wakes up alone, stripped of her clothes and phone, and must find increasingly desperate ways to survive and seek help inside the locked building. As she navigates the ordeal, her strained relationship with her conservative mother and her past deception involving a colleague come to light.
