This 1973 Hindi romance follows Preeti, a young medical student in Mumbai, who falls for a carefree skater named Prem while vacationing in Simla. After a mountain accident brings them close, a deceptive letter from her father drives the couple apart, leading Preeti into an engagement with another admirer, Dr. Amar, even as she secretly carries Prem's child. Years later, fate draws the separated family back together in ways none of them expect.
