A successful Telugu film director stumbles upon an old reel of footage showing a young woman acting, and becomes determined to track her down for his next project. He traces her to an ophthalmologist named Alekhya, only to learn the footage actually shows her late identical twin, whose thwarted acting ambitions and tragic romance he decides to turn into a film, asking Alekhya to play her sister's role. As they work together, a bond develops between director and doctor even as her family's disdain for the film industry threatens to complicate things.
