This Malayalam war drama moves between present-day peacekeeping duty and the 1971 Indo-Pakistani conflict, linking a modern-day Indian officer to his father's wartime past. After a chance encounter with a Pakistani counterpart during a UN mission reveals a family connection tied to the war, the story flashes back to the brutal battles fought along the Basantar river, focusing on soldiers and commanders on both sides. Mohanlal plays dual roles spanning both eras in this final chapter of the Major Mahadevan series.
