This Tamil-language romantic comedy, directed by Chandramouli and remade from a 2011 Telugu film, follows Balu, a consistently top-ranked student whose academic pride is challenged when his cousin Mahalakshmi moves in with his family to pursue her studies. Their rivalry gradually turns into a bond of mutual help and unspoken attraction, but Balu's ego repeatedly gets in the way whenever he feels overshadowed by others. Years later, a family illness reunites them, reigniting old tensions and feelings as their lives and careers become intertwined once again.
